We are now officially living in the George Jetson-era! And on Thursday, October 26, Thruways’ own Efrem Epstein will be moderating a panel on Artificial Intelligence entitled “AI: Living In a George Jetson World.”
The discussion will feature Johns Hopkins University Alumni thought leaders and will be featured as part of the Hopkins At Home Series.
The panelists include:
- Dr. Charles Johson-Bey, a Senior Vice President at Booz Allen Hamilton
- Bill Kirst, a change manager at Adobe
- Alex Sharpe, a Governance, Digital Transformation, and Privacy expert who has worked at the NSA, Booz Allen Hamilton and KPMG
- Kate Sperber, a Digital Strategy Consultant who has worked with The Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation, RetailMeNot, and Bankrate.
“We may still be years away from The Jetsons flying car, but we’re getting pretty close to living in a Jetsons-styled home,” said Bill Kirst. “I’m looking forward to having this discussion about where we are with AI and what it might mean for the future of work, entertainment and our lives in general. This group of experts and alumni gathered for a great discussion last year and we’re ready to continue the conversation again.”
Despite what some memes suggest, there’s no hard evidence on George Jetson’s exact birthday. But most agree that George was likely born in or around 2022, since he’s assumed to be approximately 40 years old in 2062. So join us on October 26th at 6 PM EDT, as we explore the current world that toddler George might have lived in and envision how AI might transform our lives in the years to come.
The Oct. 26th virtual event is open to all and registration is available here. Those not affiliated with JHU should click “Continue as Guest” at the bottom of the page.
